Itinerary Overview
JOURNEY TO NORTHERN AMIRANTES ISLANDS
Having touched down in Seychelles, you will be met by your captain who will escort you to your waiting yacht. Once on board you will have the chance to meet your crew and get yourself settled in. You’ll also be accompanied by a conservationist and optional dive master. At noon, set off on a two-day journey to the Northern Amirantes group of islands
PROTECTED RESERVE: AFRICAN BANKS & REMIRE
On your first few days, anchor off on your first island destination, the African banks a short distance away a Remire these are the islands most northerly uninhabited and inhabited islands in the Amirantes group. The banks shallow lagoons house some of the most beautiful seabed, whilst Remire coral reefs that borders the island is home to abundant tropical fish. For snorkeling enthusiast, these islands are prime spots for some epic observation of marine life. For divers, In the east of the African banks is 300 meters drop off which makes for an exceptional remote dive. Your resident conservationist/naturalist onboard will take you round these islands for some birdwatching where you can learn to identify different bird species whilst your chef prepares a delicious lunch on the flats.

MARINE SANCTAURY: D’ARROS AND ST JOSEPH ATOLL
Continue your journey south. you’ll come across D’arros Island and St Joseph Atoll are separated by a one-kilometer-wide channel, these two are considered a single ecological unit as their ecosystems are linked. In terms, of terrestrial life you won’t find much on these islands. But what sets these islands apart are their lagoons that are home to a treasure trove of exotic marine life, they are considered one of the most important marine sites in the Seychelles
On D’arros you’ll find the research center, dedicated to preserving the ecological integrity of these atolls through research, monitoring, restoration and education. Join the passionate conservationist team on D’arros on their many ongoing projects, depending on season it may be whale, manta, dolphin or turtle monitoring, you’ll learn collect data that will positively contribute to ongoing work, of preserving these magnificent creatures. On other days visit the shark nursery at St. Joseph where you’ll learn about the importance of this lagoon for various shark species, including blacktip reef sharks and sickle fin lemon sharks. Along your tour you may come across juvenile sharks in the shallows of the atoll’s lagoon. Spend the afternoons on guided snorkeling excursions with your expert guide helping you identify the many marine species you encounter.
REEF FLATS PARADISE: ST FRANCOIS
On the final leg of your journey, visit the St Francois atoll another marine sanctuary dominated by lagoon’s, mangroves and flats. Take guided walks across sandy stretches, vast mangrove forest and the glorious flats keeping an eye for birds roosting in the treetops, nesting turtles, juvenile stingrays and many other species. For divers get the chance to dive within the main tidal flow of the large lagoon a highway for various fish moving between the lagoon and the open water arguably one of the best dives spots for some incredible encounters in the Seychelles waters. Cap off this journey, with a feast in the vast openness of the sand flats with a panoramic 360 view over the lagoon as your tangle your feet in the water and relax with an ice-cold drink.
